Some other companies have Rega build their tables and some of those other brands sell given Rega models for less than Rega. Edwards Audio for example.

I had a NAD 533 (Rega P2 clone) and frankly I liked the cheaper Pro-Ject models better.

I'd try to buy a second hand suspended deck from someone - maybe a Thorens or SystemDek. Probably get them cheaper than a Rega.

If you're buying new only then you're probably fine with any of them.
