Excellent all-rounder, but...

I ran an XX2 Mk2 on my HRX/JMW 12.7 for about 2 years. It replaced a very badly missed Shelter 90x. It gave me most of what the Shelter did, but I found it somewhat less impactful - it was a bit polite in my system and left me wanting more, particularly at the frequency extremes. I've since used two other cartridges in my setup; a Lyra Kleos and my current Denon DL-S1. The Lyra took me back almost all the way to the 90x, but wasn't a perfect match for my fixed-impedance MC phono stage. The DL-S1 (a very low output MC) is, in my application, just about perfect - lovely tone (like the Shelter, Dynavector and the Lyra) but with more extended highs and lows than any of them. I'm in the goldilocks zone, as I hope you are with the XX2 MK2, which I greatly enjoyed while it was here.
