A few weeks back there was a thread on the Dual 1019.
I talked about nuking the changer mechanism and just using the turntable mechanism which is 4 speed, rock steady, and really quiet.
I had one waiting in the shed so I thought I'd share what I'd done because a few folks expressed interest.
I'm now figuring out the cutout for a 4 or 5 layer birch-ply plinth.
Notice how setting the speed change lever halfway between speeds dis-engages the idler from the drive hub.
