The Sgt. Pepper’s in my Beatles Box has one of these little babies near the top of “A Day In The Life.” Though I bought the box new in 1985, I hadn’t even looked at this LP until very recently.

After a few vigorous – but otherwise normal – attempts at cleaning it, I played it on an inexpensive cartridge. It played decently with only 4-5 very light tics.

I hit it once more with Vinyl-Zyme Gold on the white stuff … then played it on the Ortofon M2 Black: there were only 3 extremely light, very soft-edged tics.

I agree with most everything that’s already been posted here.
