The first time I came across a recording of Karl Munchinger and the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, I was made a fan. That was Vivaldi; The 4 Seasons on London FFRR. Then I came across a complete Bach; Brandenburg Concertos by Munchinger and the SGO. Another winner, I thought.
With those in mind it was an easy choice to pick up this Bach Suits box set by the same group. The London recordings are very good on these. This box set is a little bit different. There is that almost readable autograph inside the box lid. Perhaps the signature is that of the record owner, (not likely) or one of the members of the orchestra. I don't read it as the conductor's name.
Anyway, there it is, an autographed copy.
A few more pics:
Above image: not a wide band label, so it isn't a 1st pressing. Those have a wider horizontal band and the back of the box would be translucent blue in color. (I have one Brandenburg Concertos by Munchinger and the SGO in the blueback pressing).
You can read the matrix on record side 1. The ZAL prefix indicates a Decca UK pressing (I think).
Any comments, criticisms,or sarcasms are welcome.
