The great thing about the Ortofon Kontra (now Cadneza) series bodies is that if you cue them so the outside edge lines up with the outside edge of the record, it almost always cues the lead-in groove perfectly!
Yes, in the past I too have "dropped" my cartridge whilst trying to cue up the beginning of a record. Interesting, but it seemed to happen more with the A-T and Shure body shapes, and less with Grados, Panasonic/Technics, and virtually never with the above mentioned Ortofons...
Weird. Probably just me though...
