This is nicely done for showing the process and then demoing before and after results. I'll admit I wouldn't apply the glue while the record was on my turntable but guess that is a personal choice.
Also I wonder if the author ever tried wet cleaning? Done properly that may have been as or even more effective. But I will say that well cleaned records typically regain that nice shiny black appearance and the glue did that.
