Prune down, but don't divest

Hard to say of course, but I think I'd prune down to a good simple system with no extras. Even if it's just for playing records once or twice a year, I think that would still make it worth it for me.

On the LPs, I do get rid of a certain number each year, just as part of my normal activity. What you might do is think about getting rid a of a box per year. I'm less clear on this part because to get rid of records thoughtfully does takes time. And you don't have time right now.

Probably easier at this point to identify and sell off spare bits of hifi gear.
