Saw the muscle shoals recording studio documentary. I have Leon Russell 'Carney' (Shelter Records 1972) and Southside Johnny and Asbury Jukes 'The Jukes' (Mercury 1979) both from muscle shoals.
A highlight for me was the Rolling Stones (home movies?) staying at a local Holiday Inn. They seemed a bit out of place. More fitting was to see the Stones as they exit Alabama - by helicopter!
And how about hearing record producer Jerry Wexler recount how he imagined (or plotted) he would want to record/ sign Aretha Franklin after expiration of her Columbia contract? Seeing talent and dollars at the same time.
