..and in case you were curious, this response curve is why you wouldn't like your VxMR. This curve is from the M97xE, but the curve is essentially the same as for the VxMR. You can see that it shelves down to be about 3dB down at 10kHz. Remarkably it is flat from there onwards to the specified limit of 25kHz (test tone not shown).
