I did some experiments with my Benz LP the other day, with a mate who has good ears (who has about 5% vision).
The specs say load from 470-47K and I had been using 6K8. Flat out (47K) gave floppy bass. 37K and 25K were better - at 37K, the vocals were more forward ... but instruments sounded better with about 25K loading.
(My phono stage uses a parallel input pair of RCAs for loading plugs, so different values are easily changed.)
So I suggest trying some lower values than 47K. Get hold of a pair of good quality 'Y' connectors if your phono stage doesn't have the ability to use parallel loaded plugs.
Regards,
Andy
