Along your aforementioned experience, I can relate one of my favorite
MM's is the lowly AT110e till it's broken in it's damn near hideous
(essentially unbearable) I ended up using my first one for knockin out the rocks and burnishing the groove on newly cleaned thrift finds on my old standby TD 166 Thorens, one night my woman friend came home and wanted
to spin some Jim Croce and I had my SOTA at the time temporarily disconnected from my stage, she ended up hooking up the Thorens
hen I got home I was drawn into whatever it was she was listening do I
went to my living room and the Thorens/ AT 110 was responsible for the
engaging musical experience I was so glad I'd been too indolent to mount a diff cartridge and shitcan the AT 110.There's a very pervasive audiophile belief that meaningful musical enjoyment
requires huge (ever increasing) financial expenditures.Regards Ferd
