I have the blue and it has a very flat freq response and tracks beautifully. The problem with conicals IME is that they don't handle classical music as well as the finer diamonds. The conicals tend to mistrack a little more and ruin the violins for me. YMMV but, i think that as it breaks in, the rondo will surprise you in a very good way. I just love mine and it is fairly warm compared to the AT OC9ML/II that I had before and therefore gives voices a little boost of realism.
