If I remember the PY arm correctly, there is an outer nut and nn inner nut on each side.
Somehow the alignment of those two adjusters got wonked.T
I believe you turn the larger nut counter clockwise so that the inner nut (actually with a screw slot if I'm correct)can be tightened. You turn the outer (counterclockwise) nut in tiny increments and then the screw/nut (clockwise). You MUST do this equally...i.e., not tighter on one side than the other.
I'm talking tiny, tiny "numbers of turns. The "distance" is probably less than a New York call girl's twirleys.
I believe the info for all of the PT arms can be downloaded (just did a Google search) but my comuter's an antique and I don't have PDF file download capability.
Google and look and see if the PT0 download shows an arm similar to yours (I think the PT 6/7/8/9 are the same).
I haven't had a PT arm in 15 years so my description/directions could be flawed...but I lean toward the side of being right about this.
Hopefully someone with a more recent "acquaintence" with the arm will chime in.
