I've tried half a dozen brands of these generic carbon fibre brushes over the years and although they all look pretty identical, the quality is not a patch on the Audioquest. Some of the generic ones have such stiff fibres that it feels as if you are scratching the record and they pick up no dust. Others are so soft as to be utterly useless and you run the danger of the plastic edge of the brush catching the record. The Audioquest one has the ideal stiffness of carbon fibres and lasts for years.
