Some random thoughts from someone who owns neither of those decks but has seen them both up close and talked to owners of the Concept. I don't know anyone that has bought a Traveler yet.
1. The Concept may pose limitations on what kinds of cartridges you may be able to use. From what I understand the arm is fairly low in mass, so it's natural partners cartridge-wise will be higher compliance carts(MM or MI). Maybe others have had different results. This is what I was told by someone who owns one though.
2. The arm on the Concept is somewhat loosey goosey in handling. Not that it isn't stable across the record, it's just that it feels more like a unipivot in it's handling. That may or may not be important to you.
3. The arm on the Traveler is more stable in handling due to it's gimbal design. Thus it might also be slightly easier to set up. Mainly though, it's also higher mass so more likely to be a successful partner with mid to low compliance carts(like moving coils), if you already have one of those, or plan on trying one at some point in time.
Thats basically it. I obviously cant make a recommendation based on experience with them both so I wont even try. Just some thoughts to consider. I'm sure others that have more direct experience with both decks or other recommendations will chime in.
