As much as I believe in having an RCM, not every one of the records I play has been processed by mine.
Back in the late 70s early 80s when I discovered the benefits of a vacuum RCM, the quality of new US pressings was very uneven. Running them through an RCM before playing them substantially reduced the number of bad sounding records I returned. So it's safe to assume if it's an American disc, it gets RCM'd by me.
Not to mention all the dirty discs my RCM has rescued from sonic oblivion.
But my Japanese and British as well as my "audiophile" discs (MoFi, etc) are very quiet (some dead quiet) and pressing quality is more consistent. So I haven't RCM'd most of them.
By the way, I found TBone LPCDR #6 which I thought I had lost. That's one sweet sounding disc. Too much CJs "Trinity Sessions", though. ;-)
Best regards, Ralph
