No, I don't think Stylast could be considered a solvent. It's actually rather viscous almost like an oil and nothing like a solvent. And a bottle of the stuff seems to last forever since the amount applied to the stylus is tiny. It does not evaporate.
Maybe you should check with Grado if you still feel uneasy about using it. I don't think it will be a problem. It certainly has not been a problem for me but I'm not a user of Grado cartridges.
