That many stylii are bonded to the end of the cantilever by some sort of adhesive. Depending on that adhesive, if it is bonded by adhesive, and the type of stylus cleaning fluid, you could end up with something you do not want.
In short, cleaning a stylus with a fluid should only be done once in a while and using very sparing amounts of fluid. On top of the aforementioned adhesive issue, the cantilever can act like a wick and the fluid can be transferred up to your cartridge body and into the suspension.
Using cleaning fluids is best done on a very limited basis and in very small amounts. I usually use just enough to dampen my stylus cleaning brush and only clean my stylus once a month...at the most.
The "enough to dampen" statement is a best guess...maybe a drop or two of fluid on my Discwasher brush. The rest of the time I use the old Discwasher brush before each side of a LP...dry.
And I use MoFi Pure to clean my Discwasher stylus brush periodically.
