RE: Do I need feet/cones under my plinth?

If your equipment rack and/or shelves are well isolated from structure-borne vibrations (such as footfalls, transport trucks, bounding dogs) then I think you are OK without further isolating the plinth. The weight of the plinth (which I suppose is dissipating internal turntable vibration) will be well coupled to the equipment rack shelves.

If your rack is not well isolated then the suggestion of squash balls and their ilk would be a good idea.
