growing up and being extremely into alternative music i always came across my favorite bands doing "john peel sessions," everyone from new order to siouxsie to cabaret voltaire, but to this day i don't even know who he was or his total contribution to that genre of music.
it's a little disconcerting to realize that it's already time to digitize his sessions----i guess i'm middle aged.
oh well, off to wikipedia to see who john peel was....
