Mike, I have a (true) 78 album of Louie Armstrong with the All Stars that became bowed from moisture. My problem is a little worse because of the thickness with four record sleeves bound into the album.
I wondered about using a steam iron on the "permapress" setting to moisten the paper fibers and then flatten the cover. After that I would place some weighted device on the cover and leave it for a day or more. However I haven't had the nerve to try it yet. This album set has some value and I don't want to damage it any further.
Since your LP jackets are thinner you might find an artist or tee-shirt shop with an embossing press. That would apply heated pressure evenly over the whole surface.
Hopefully someone with hands-on experience can suggest what might help us both.
