RE: Will Goodwill take 78s???

Most of the thrifts I frequent will accept 78s.

I've found and bought 78s in thrift shops. On some occasions, very nice records in pristine condition. Sadly, many get mishandled and cracked by uncaring or unknowing workers or customers. So when I see 78s at a thrift, it's usually a 'rescue mission.'

Are the ones in question decent, or scratched up junk? I ask because I've got about 300 culled 78s out in my shop, waiting for the next trip to the landfill. All of these are very common titles in no better than poor to fair condition. I figure the best place for a trashed Ken Griffin 78 is the dump.
