My Rondo Bronze MC recently had a mysterious mishap and the cantilever is bent. Since Ortofon does not re-tip their carts (but do offer a 25% trade-in towards a new cart) I am planning to send this off to SoundSmith.

The cart has a tapered aluminum cantilever with a Fritz Geiger stylus. SoundSmith doesn't have this exact recipe in their menu, so I'm thinking of going with a level 2 rebuild w/ruby cantilever.

I know that SoundSmith uses a fine line stylus in the level 2 re-build, but I don't know how that stylus compares to the Fritz Geiger (FG 80, I think). I'm hoping that it's equal to or superior, so that I don't feel the need to step up to the level 3 rebuild.
