Very forward sounding. Bright, but not harsh. Differences are subtle, but there and noticeable - guitar and percussion more pronounced ('Too Many People'), some echo on vox ('Uncle Albert' - very nice), bass very precise and tight (tho this might just be the modern remastering). I have a first-pressing US Apple - have not A-B'd yet, but my sense memory tells me this mix has more presence, as would be expected for AM radio. All in all, glad I sprung for this instead of the stereo reissue - price is right, and I'm satisfied w/ the original stereo I have.
