What exactly makes the SL-D30 better than the Gemini or Audio Technica?Well, it's just that most of the low-end today is very cheap Chinese stuff, and back in the 70s and 80s even the affordable stuff was built with a degree of precision as there was a lot more competition in the home audio market. I've seen too many modern budget tables where there was just too much rattle and play in everything (especially with the DJ brands like Gemini and Numark).
I know buying used carries some risk, but I think within your price range you'd be a lot happier with a vintage table.
I think this is an even better deal, BTW: (also see 190651908602)
