I was playing around with burning Black CD-R copies of some of my discs (original of course!) and, while there is a difference, I do not know if it is better or worse. I believe the changes are there in auditioning between the 2 versions.In any case, I copied a Mickey Hart CD (Supralingua) which is HDCD encoded. The copy shows up in my CDP as an HDCD encoded disc as well! I did not know that the encoding could be duplicated.
Just curious, does Roxio's software duplicate the HDCD encoding as well? I don't find the copies I made a while back with Roxio's software very good quality. It was, however, an older version.
The EAC (Exact Audio Copy) software is extremely versatile and quite accurate when it comes to copying or archiving your music into MP3 or other digital formats.
