Rack mount and ferret tweaks

I'm not to sure if this belongs here or in pro gear but being an old DIY, I'll start here. At the present, my system sets on a $24 wood potter's shelf; weighed components, air suspended, floating shelf, spiked, painted black with an emulsion. It works.

I have three ferrets and things get readjusted. Most notably, the Parasound 806 with the gain controls on the back, a problem John Curl never foresaw. Our bad boy; George of Jungle, also likes the heat shrink on the cables to the mains. This not a good thing. Sodium Benzoate with Cheyenne finally worked; George is a very persistent ferret. The cabinets have two 4" ports that are covered with poly screening; ferrets are burrowing animals. Hey, something new, ferret tweaks

The components are rack mountable, seems to be the way to go. As I have a pocket full of nickels for this project, something from the local pawnshop will be tweaked as far as physics will allow. Insulation is paramount; as the room's acoustics are for crap and the mains are 3-way bi-amp, containing Peerless subs. I figure tweaking would be a fine mix of spikes, insulation and top weight. If you've optimized this kind of configuration, I would thankful for your input. The rack must be enclosed on the back; I'll used Teflon sheet if required, good dielectric and ferret proof too. Thus I can also use a recommendation on an inexpensive quiet fan.

Thanks and the best for the Holidays
