Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |

Guys,I've done quite a few mods to my CD63 which runs through a NAIM 102/DIY NAPSC/180 but the output level of the cd is too high - the volume only uses about 20% of it's total range whereas on vinyl (Garrard 401) it gets through about 60% of its travel. So what? you might think, but i've been advised that channel balance and overall sound quality is compromised when using the lower parts of the volume pot. (Anyone agree/disagree?)
Any suggestions for the best (sonically) method for reducing the output level of the cd player?
Thanks,
Rich
