The PAIA Tiger .01 60 WPC Mono Amp. I remember feeling I jumped off the deep end by not building a Dyna or Heathkit first. And perhaps I did...I remember writing PAIA with naive questions about how to test if I fried transistors during assembly, and they responded, "With a transistor tester."
I proudly clung to their admonition, "We're not a hand-holding company like Heathkit".
We'll, the first "monoblock" I admit I had their help getting running. But, I bought a second one, and sure enough I built it and it actually worked, and it put out 60 watts at .01 percent harmonic distortion, (allegedly, I wish I built it that well...).
The next kit, the Dyna PAT-4 was a breeze.
Still have the Tiger .01's, one even works... Anyone wanna fix the other?
Remember the PAIA Synth kits? They still make them...
