Hi all,I want to change the output caps on my Sony CDP XA-555ES. I have done this before with my old player and this was easy, but this one uses more caps, so I am confused about the value(s) I must use.
This is what is in now after the opamp:
Two polarised caps 100uF(Elna Silmic), front to front (positive electrodes joined).
And two caps parallel to both the 100uF caps of 0.047uf and 1000pF.
After this 2 resistors of 10ohm and 62ohm.
This explains it better:100uF 100uF
>in----- -)|+ ------ +|( -----10ohm-----62ohm-----out>
| 0.047uF |
|-------- || -------|
| 1000pF |
|-------- || -------|From what I understand reading here is that bypassing caps in the signalpath is not a good idea, so I want to replace all with one cap.
The total is about 50uF I think, but the maximum value of a good cap I can find is about 5uF.What cap value must I use and what to do with the resistors.
The first cap I like to try are Auricaps, any other suggestions are welcome.
Don't know if this is important:
CDP output level max: 2V at 50kohm, load impedance: over 10kohm
AMP input sensitivity: 150mV, impedance 30kohmThanks in Advance
Ton.
