Was the problem with the constant product generator or the input stage? I can see problems with the input stage.But if you don't use the input stage at all and bypass the constant product generator with a large film cap shouldn't that work? It would seem to me that if you used cross coupled diff ins driving complementary second voltage amps with the LT 1166 spreading the bias that the distortion from the unused input stage would not do anything.The second voltage amps running class "A" would provide the matched constant current sources the LT 1166 needs to see for best high frequency response.Or am I missing something here?
