Fuzzie bass trap results

Fuzzie bass trap specs: 200ft of rope made two seven foot, three line riggings knotted at 12". Top; 18" wide, bottom; 24" wide. Top bars; 20" oak scrape 1X ¾. Fortunately, I still have the wire jig set up from the speaker cable project. I did have to buy larger safety pins, some of those fuzzies weigh a few pounds.

SO, I have towers of convorted surface enclosures. Each totaling 21lbs of poly-fill, at; 7' high; 20" x 18" at the base and 6" x 6" at the top. There are other fuzzies positioned at random through out the net. The towers of fuzzies are in the corners and I have been inform that there is room for more fuzzies. Keep in mind that these are covering concrete block and stucco walls.

System was leveled with the DAC and internal pink noise generator. Settings then adjusted in Direct with SP#3 test CD. With the SPL meter, the latter required some fuzzie repositioning. I grab my usual test CDs.

Andres Segovia, Baroque Guitar and others.
Imaging notably improved. The 'wind' background from some of those 1929 mono recordings was more noticeable.

Vince Guaraldi Trio, A Charlie Brown Christmas. Kept in the jazz section.
Instrument placement is tighter and the kids' vocals are fuller.

Venice Underground, A mix of Crystal Method & Portishead.
This group uses a voice multiplier to the extreme, often reintroducing that signal out of phase. This is a little grating on my ears but not any more. This was worth the effort right here. Some of those low power bass notes are now more audible then felt.

Burning Sky, Music for the Native American. Well mastered CD.
Improved sound stage and instrument placement.

Bass performance is improved a little; tighter and more focus, more full on the lower end. According the SPL meter, my Fs is now 26 instead of 28.
What really surprise me was the over all improvement of the sound stage, couldn't miss it. The clarity of the mid range is sharper, I assume to better imaging.

For the next two weeks I'll have fun maxing out the speakers placement. The future of fuzzie hangings looks solid. Next project is to passive bi-amp the speakers. Yes it's simple but I want to upgrade the X/Os; unknown area for me and complicated because I haven't the T&S specs for the woofer. Could use some help on call.
