The new DI/O I bought today is a bit different from the old one I had. The biggest difference is the ribbon cable that connects the main board and the I/O board. It is now encased in vinyl with dabs of silicone caulk reinforcing the connection at the both ends. So I guess it'd be much harder to break it. The three biggest PS caps (2200uF ones) also get some caulk between them to hold them together and reduce vibration.I think it's a fine idea to put those caulk, I'd like to get some to put on the DI/O after I'm finished, but it's a major pain right now as I have to remove it to modify my DI/O. What is the easiest way to remove this stuff without damaging anything? Usually the caulk I use around the bath tub and such never come off, but I had to physically rip it off. Do I need to do the same here?
Many thanks.
