I have never tried using teflon caps in an AC power line filter, but they couldn't hurt. On the othe rthand, it hink I would rather put them in the audio circuit directly, as a bypass for a coupling cap or something.

In my note, I recommend metalized mylar, but PP or pS should be just fine too, and at a cost quite abit less than Teflon.
