Happy new year and best wishes in this new adventure(yes it is...).I'm just going to build a DIY rack and have several ideas for 3 or 4 racks and this one is one of them. I wonder if anyome have don it before.
It will be a regular 5/6 shelves with a regular 5/8" hole at the corners for the bolted shelves. It will also have 5/6 additional shelves, but with a much larger opening at the corners that will permit the shelves to float over individual air cushions (bicycle tubes)without touching the threated rods. The hole could be around 1.5" to 2.5" in diameter.
At the end it will look like the Justa Rack but without the clamping method, instead, a floating devise. This may be done as an add on to a regular FlexiRack at any particular shelve ( cd/dac/tt).
