I would be interested in hearing the longer term impressions of gainclone users. Are you still happy with the sound quality? Have you had further opportunity to compare yours to other amps, SETs etc, and what were the results?I am interested in building a battery powered (+/- 24Vdc) supply, LM1875 version as an interim whilst I slowly build the rest of my system. I have cases and a charger already, just need the batteries (have a good source) and the chips and passives.
Is it worth doing?
