Tweakers' Asylum Tweaks for systems, rooms and Do It Yourself (DIY) help. FAQ. |

Hi all.
Newbie question here. Please be kind.I read sad stories about people who had a electric shock experience
with PS capacitors that's not fully bled.Question is, with power amp connected to speakers and with line level signal present, if the power amp is turned off for sufficient time (one hour) is it safe to assume that most of the charge in power supply capacitors is spent?
I endeavor to replace PS capacitors and get rid of input coupling caps. Is it OK to assume most of the current line level sources do not contain DC nowadays?
Sorry about WTC tragedy. Makes one wonder about human nature.
