Just wondered if anyone has tried using styrofoam (or whatever the white moulded foam that supports the unit within the box is called)
as a support material? Cheaper than sorbothane, lighter than marble, and hi fi units come with a few well formed pieces in the box which I always thought were for packaging but maybe there's more to this stuff than meets the eye..?
