for the Power Foundation 2

I was already using a Rotel PLC and thought that there wasn't a lot of difference possible. Besides, I'm in a pretty new house in a pretty new neighborhood and had never experienced any power fluctuations. But, since I was running out of other tweak ideas and my wife isn't about to let me buy a new system or component for a while, I thought I'd try plugging my amp directly into the wall. The improvement in dynamics suggested to me that my PLC was "choking" my amp. So, I called Galen Carol and he suggested I try the AP FOundation 2.

The difference was immediate and dramatic. Much better bass extension and definition, incredible improvement in low level detail, loss of all perceptible grain, fantastic improvement in imaging and depth. Now I know what "holographic" sounds like. All the music now rises from a velvety black background.

Interestingly, when I tried the stock power cord on my amp in the AP F2, it didn't sound a lot better than the wall outlet. But, with an HT power cord, WOW! The improvement in the CDP and pre were immediate and noticeable even with stock power cords. The use of HT cords on all three components has elevated my system to another level.

BTW, Galen is selling this for $455.

Product Weakness: Placement of outlets on top makes it's use in a shelf stand difficult, especially considering the stiffness of quality power cords.
Product Strengths: Solid build quality-bigger than the pictures suggest. Comes with detachable high quality power cord (no need to replace this one). This unit does what I expect a PLC to do.
