Help for Levinson JC2 (John Curl design) preamp

Hi folks and John Curl in particular,

My Mark Levinson (John Curl design) JC2 preamp is not quite perfect.

1) one of the phono modules is not working. Are there replacement modules out there? Salvage from other JC2s that are no longer running phono? New replacement low noise opamps (which is what the module is. discrete componenets of course. The feedback circuitry is outside the amp module.)

2) The volume control does not work at low volumes. Even with the gain switch set for low gain, the minimum volume is at serious listening levels. No way to get "background music" level. Is this normal?

Thanks for your help. Outside of those minor irritations, the JC2 sounds terrific. No wonder you are famous, John!
