I have owned these things for years and have put them on bad cd's of the
mid 1980's vintage which makes the cd's sound smoother on the top end and
improves bass response.They help but cannot work miracles.If some gives you
a bad sounding cd with good music buy a set and enjoy those bad cd's more.
