Ok, I used to live in Antibes quite a few years ago now...
Before I was running 10,000uf - played with various values bypass from 0.1uf up to 3uf but was still feeling the bass was a little shy. Then I got a 5uf MIT Multicap and this restored the bass.
Now I'm using a whopping great 220,000uf sprague lytic cap along with two .47uf Black gate NX's in Super-E config. Everything is fine like this
sounds superb with excellent bass.
I tried the 5uf alone with the 220,000uf but the midrange seemed to be a bit smeared or time delayed.
Digital sounded progressively worse with large(r) value bypasses, I had some Mundorf silver in oil caps in my stash 0.1uf, these really pulled the whole thing together with 10,000uf lytics.
