I finished recapping my Cabre AS45 crossover.
New Nichicon MUSE KZ replace the old Nippon Chemicon SM series.
Input and output caps have been replaced with back-to-back Elna Silmic II caps ("super E-cap" position)so far great improvements!
Now waiting for the 4 BB-OPA2134 to replace the output TL082 opamps. Will add 0,1uF between V- and V+ as generally recommended.
For some reason unexplained (I might just be dumb), I hadn't really paid attention before to the fifth TL082. You can see it here, on the board, not far from the input caps.
Why is it there? Is it some kind of input buffer (I don't have the schematics)
If yes, is it really needed? And if so, I suspect I can also replace it with OPA2134?PS:I know, I know, I should just look the traces under the board and it will tell me if it's on the signal tracks. I don't know what else it could be. But I'd like to know if I could do without...
