Burning in capacitors

I know for having used them many times that Elna Silmic II caps take awfully long to sound at their best - about 100, 150 hours.

I've always wondered: let's say you need to burn in the new caps in your preamp or active crossover and you wanna do it by playing something random (radio for ex) or on repeat every night, all night long. Obviously you need to sleep and you also have neighbours.

If you turn off the power amplifier(s), is the preamplifier still loaded? >> if you play some music trough it, will the signal go trough the caps if the following stage (here, the power amp) is off?
