Hello,
I tried a bamboo cutting board under my PC source to try its SQ. My floor is oiled oak.
It gave an apparent emphasis on the upper mids to highs, which I liked a bit, because my system has a lot of bass and lower midrange energy. It did balance it in a good way. It did make the total sound signature a bit analytical.
I believe it won't sound good on a bass-light system with a high midrange-treble energy. But you can always try.
