Those are really crappy compnents in that crossover. Many people bypass the apoc and say that alone really helps. What a turd that is. I have upgraded crossovers that had better parts than those to start with and only spent mid level money and felt it was worth it.
North Creek has nice stuff but I think its over $2K for their good ones with no protection circuit. Do more searching of the web and here. Lots of threads on this.
