RE: Bamboo (Ikea Aptitlig) vs MDF as platforms for floorstanders

Thanks everyone.

@Awe-d-o-file...I do have 8 herbies big fat dots which I am using for something else. Did try it on my speakers....speakers (no spikes) on big fat dots...on MDF platform flat... on floor. I think one of the dots is slightly thinner but I just couldn't stop the speaker it was under to stop wobbling a little. So I scraped that idea a few months ago.

Btw Guys... I am assuming that Bamboo is a lot denser than MDF. Is being denser desirable in this application? Marble or any type of stone...I heard could result in a brighter tone...any truth to it?
