Well Cougar, I just dropped in a OPA2134. It's not broken in at all. I am extremely impressed by it so far. From memory since I haven't had the 2604 in for a while I would say that the 2134 blows it away in terms of bass quality, impact focus and maybe depth. Voices are superb. The size and warmth is there without what may be a somewhat excessive low mid emphasis in the 2604. This op amp, 2134, is very forward and in your face, IMHO, just the way I like it. When I first heard Miles come in on a solo on my test song I thought I could hear a fatter brass sound than the 2604. So far the down side is maybe a bit extra buzzing type distortion on his horn. Maybe just a touch of peaky type glare. The 2604 smoother, less in your face and I would say somewhat "hi fiish" sounding in comparison, if that means anything. These two op amps are in my ballpark.
