Agree, some of the "compatible" bipolar chips sound very nice biased into class-A, nicely smooth. Also a fair bit hotter, which I usually think is good for SS amps of any size, SQ-wise.
I find it hard to believe that somebody who likes the TL072 is going to prefer this though, but then there are quite a few variants of the TL072 and I have to admit some are quite pleasant, especially considering the much higher price of the "better" bipolar chips. My prob is the TL072's slew rate, it can hold them back in some "quality audio" apps.
